6 Days Murchisonfalls And Kidepo Valley National Parks

Depart after early breakfast for a transfer to Murchison falls National Park with a Lunch break enroute. Continue your journey past homesteads where the youngsters are happy to smile and wave at you. The journey within the park is a scenic one through forest galleries, past savanna grasslands, bush lands and thickets. On arrival, visit the “Top of the Falls” for a breathtaking sight of the raging Nile as it forces its way through a rocky gap barely six meters wide and tumbles down into a placid river. Early morning go for a pre- breakfast Game drive looking out for the savanna wild life like the Elephants, gentle giraffes, comical warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs and with luck the elusive leopards among others. The bird life is also impressive in this part of the park with over 480 species. Return to the Lodge for Late breakfast and have the rest of the morning at leisure. After lunch, embark on the afternoon Launch cruise along the Nile River up to the bottom of the thundering falls. The cruise is an excellent way to view wild life coming to water at the River; like herds of buffaloes, Giant African Elephants, bush bucks, water bucks, Uganda Kobs not missing out the permanent residents; the schools of Hippopotamus, huge Nile crocodiles basking on the river banks and aquatic birds. The Highlight of the cruise takes you to the bottom of the thundering water falls where the river literally thunders out to drop nearly 50 meters, making it the strongest waterfall in Africa on its way to the Mediterranean Sea. We depart after early breakfast for a connection to Kidepo Valley National Park through Gulu. Kidepo Valley National Park is the most remote of all Ugandan parks and ranks among Africa’s finest wilderness. Tucked away between the boarders with southern Sudan and Kenya, Kidepo Valley National Park has abundant wildlife including Lions, Leopards, Cheetah, Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, herds of Buffaloes, hartebeest, water bucks and it’s the only park in Uganda where Giraffes and Zebras are found together. Arrive at the park early evening; check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Lodge. Meals: Dinner Activities: Leisure

Depart for a morning game drive on a thrilling encounter as you look out for various wild life like the ostriches, leopards, and tortoises along the way. The drive offers opportunities to view herds of Buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, elands, oribis, jackals, and herds of giant African Elephants. Return to the lodge for Lunch Afternoon go for a cultural tour where you will visit the Karamojong in their traditional homesteads known as “Manyatas”. Learn about the fascinating ancient culture on their way of life, local dishes; hear the stories and folklore of this tribe. Alternatively, opt for the afternoon nature walk. After early breakfast, drive out of the park heading back to Kampala with an overnight enroute Gulu to break the long day’s drive. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Activities: Drive
