5 Days Kidepo Valley National Park
Kidepo Valley National Park is located in the northeast corner of Uganda and tucked between the boarders of South Sudan and Kenya. Kidepo ranks among Africa’s finest wilderness. The park boasts of over 480 bird species and hosts over 77 mammal species.
There are Lions in abundance-especially during the dry season of the year (even some tree climbing ones) – Elephant and Buffalo herds roaming – Giraffe – leopards – cheetahs – wild dogs – ostriches-pangolins –the bat-eared fox, striped hyena, aardwolf, caracal, and hunting dog – antelopes such as eland, bushbuck, bush duskier, defassa waterbuck, bohor reedbuck, Jackson’s hartebeest, and oribi.
The park is a bit hard to get to with over 10 hours drive to the park and on bumpy roads. Flights to the park can be arranged but subject to minimum numbers and are quite expense. However, those who are able to make it to this park appreciate the true and unique African experience you’ve always dreamt of in the 21st century. The scenery is simply breathtaking – a tapestry of rugged scenery, vibrant wildlife, Karamojong warrior herdsmen, the Ik tribe in the remote Mount Morungole are all breathtaking.
