Bwindi Forest National Park is one of the 2 places or national parks in Uganda where the mountain gorillas are found. The major activity in this tour is trekking with the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest National Park. And this is done on the second day of this tour.

1
Day 1 Drive to Bwindi Forest National Park
On finishing an early breakfast, you will start your journey heading southwest through Uganda's picturesque countryside and the verdant Kigezi highlands en route to Bwindi Forest National Park. This will include a lunch stop in Mbarara before you continue through the Savannah grasslands filled with banana plantations and the famous long horned Ankole cows.

Day 2 Gorilla Trekking Experience
After breakfast you will head out to the park headquarters where you have to get to not later than 7:30am. And here you will join other visitors for a briefing by one of the park staff and thereafter you will meet with the lead guide who will take you into the forest to find the gorilla family that you will be allocated to. This may take between 2-7 hours round trip depending on how long the family you are trekking will have moved today from where it was last seen yesterday. And depending on how you feel, you may go out for an evening community walk through the villages very close to the forest.

Day 3 Depart Bwindi For Kampala/ Entebbe
After breakfast, you will depart Bwindi for Kampala or Entebbe with a lunch stop in Mbarara and also at the equator for a photo shot and some shopping of souvenirs as you may wish. And after this you continue to either Kampala or Entebbe to catch your flight back home. This will also mark the end of our memorable and lifetime safari.
