4-Day Gorilla Trekking Tour of Rwanda

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be cheerfully and warmly welcomed by your guide who will later transfer you to your booked accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay. You will have a detailed briefing on your booked tour by our staff.

After your relaxed morning breakfast, enriched with an African touch, check out of the hotel and head for an amazing city tour of Kigali. Have a beautiful view of the rolling hills and drive to Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, where over 256000 victims of the Rwandan genocide of 1994, were laid to rest as a sign of respect to their bodies. You will later drive off to Volcanoes National Park with an en route stopover, to take some beautiful photos and have a great view of the rolling landscape. You will relax at your lodge and prepare for your next day gorilla trekking activity. You will spend the entire evening at the lodge.

You'll kick off your day with an early morning buffer breakfast, get all your gorilla gears set, boots on and ready for the crazy adventure as you get immersed in the jungle in search of these shy mountain gorillas. Your park guides will be ready at the lodge entrance waiting for you so that you can start off your hike to the Volcanoes. You will follow the trails and at some point, go off trail amidst the bamboos to try to figure out any face. Definitely you will at last land on them. You will be allowed a period of an hour with these primates, as you take photos and watch the juveniles play about. The whole trekking can last 2 – 6 hours depending on the gorilla movement. You will later return to your lodge where lunch awaits. In the afternoon, enjoy the relaxation at the lodge or we'll take you to Iby'iwacu cultural village to enjoy and experience the unique culture of Rwandese. Later, drive back to your lodge for diner and your overnight stay.

Today after your warm early morning breakfast, you will be picked by our safari driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing. You'll have your packed lunch and start off you day golden monkey trekking in search of these primates in the jungle. Just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same applies to golden monkey trekking though it's not as hectic as gorilla trekking. You will later return to the lodge for lunch and then transfer to Kigali. If time permits, head for a brief city tour, before your evening airport transfer. End of safari.
